Albert L. Dinsmore, 94, of Clearfield died Friday, July 11, 2014. He was born Dec. 5, 1919 in Pine Creek, a son of the late Robert and Rebecca (Dobson) Dinsmore.
Mr. Dinsmore retired from Sky Haven Coal Co. after many years of employment. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during World War II. Mr. Dinsmore was an avid hunter.
He is survived by three daughters, Linda Patterson of Lakeland, Fla., Jo-Ann Demchak and her companion, Sonnie Gearhart of Reynoldsville and Tina Chamberlain and her husband, Chuck of Rock Falls, Ill.
He’s survived by five grandchildren, Shannon Dowell, Shane Lechler, Avery Vardaman, Tiffany Lechler and Jennifer Patterson and six great-grandchildren, Ronie Gaskin, Paige and Taylor Dowell, Camden, Madison and Boston Lechler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Edith Pauline (Leigey) Dinsmore, on Nov. 20, 1960; his second wife, Jacquelene L. (Leigey) Waple Dinsmore, on April 15, 1998 and whom he wed Aug. 24, 1963; an infant daughter; a great-granddaughter, Camryn Dowell; two sisters, Mary Murray and Florence Dinsmore; and a son-in-law, Ronald Patterson.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Centre Cemetery, Hyde, with the Rev. Kenneth J. Leonard officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to charity of the donor’s choice.
