The State College Spikes, affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, return home for a fun-filled, six-game homestand starting on Wednesday, July 7. The Brooklyn Cyclones (New York Mets) and Staten Island Yankees (New York Yankees) will provide the opposition. Highlights include a pair of FIREWORKS shows, the Spikes Youth Baseball Clinic, a Spikes Fleece Blanket Giveaway, and the return of $1 Beer Night.
The fun begins with Half-Price Wednesday, presented by BIG Froggy 101, and continues with $1 Beer Night, presented by 93.7 THE BUS, on Thursday. The first 1,000 fans of all ages will receive a Spikes Fleece Blanket, presented by Penn State Federal Credit Union, on Friday night. Fans will also be thrilled by a pair of fantastic FIREWORKS shows next weekend, with Saturday’s show presented by Penn State Sports Medicine and Sunday’s show presented by First National Bank and ESPN Radio 1450. Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m., kids can learn fundamental skills from Spikes players at the Youth Baseball Clinic, presented by Penn State Sports Medicine.
The Spikes’ home games on Wednesday through Friday against Brooklyn will begin at 7:05 p.m., as will Saturday’s matchup against Staten Island. Sunday, the Spikes and Yankees tangle at 6:05 p.m., with Monday’s Super Splash Day game set for a Noon start.
