Annual Reading of the Declaration of Independence
2 p.m. – Beach House steps
Today, we celebrate our country and our freedoms. Let’s reflect on these freedoms as the annual reading of the Declaration of Independence is broadcast over the public address system for all to hear and appreciate.
The Forgotten Giants
8:30 p.m. – Campground Amphitheater
Together these giants create an ecosystem that is pristine and priceless. Individually, they are monuments of nature, but as a group they all face disruptions and changes that jeopardize their future. Learn about these last remaining undisturbed stands and some of the issues that threaten them.

Penn’s Woods
2 p.m.- Environmental Education Classroom
The Pennsylvania forest has had a long, yet still evolving history. Learn how the early forest was used and now is quite different from the time of William Penn’s settlement. Also learn of dangers lurking that may cause yet another significant change to the forest we know.
