Ronald L. Phillips, 67, of Hyde went to his Lord on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.
He was born Aug. 13, 1946 in Houtzdale, a son of the late Peter Yanosik and Alberta Phillips.
Mr. Phillips retired as a truck driver from St. Joseph Motor Lines, Clearfield. He was a member of Church of the Nazarene, Clearfield, and will always be affectionately known as “the can man.”
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Karen Spencer-Phillips; a daughter, Evelyn Robertson; his wife’s daughters, Kerri Hutchinson and her husband, Darren of Clearmont, Fla. and Katrina Concel of Treasure Lake; his grandson, Hunter Robertson; his wife’s grandchildren, Faith and Cole Hutchinson, Kayla and Julianne Concel and Kenneth Conway III; a sister, Verna Beard and her husband, Larry of Nottingham; his twin sister, Donna Sharpless of Houtzdale; a brother, Bill Leair of Painesville, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Conway II; his wife’s son-in-law, Mark Concel; and a nephew.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with Pastor Robert Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Friends Cemetery, Grampian.
Friends will be received from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Church of the Nazarene, 401 Ogden Ave., Clearfield.
