Duane W. Gross, 83, of Rimersburg died Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at the Clarion Hospital. He was born Oct. 25, 1930 in Clearfield, a son of the late Paul E. and Mary E. (Barton) Gross.
Mr. Gross retired from the Pennsylvania Game Commission as the Northwest Land Management Supervisor, based in Franklin.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during Korean War.
He is survived by three children, Richard Gross and his wife, Carolyn of Parker, Ronald Gross and his wife, Lori of Stony Creek, Va. and Elaina Carty and her husband, Michael of Fairfield; nine grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Audrey Huss and two brothers, Kenneth B. Gross and Glenn E. Gross.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with the Rev. J. Robert Mellgard officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
