ST MARYS – Heavy rainfall early Wednesday morning caused flooding in St Marys, Elk County.
Parts of Route 120, Route 948 and parts of Route 219 were the hardest hit, the Elk County emergency dispatcher said.
PennDOT also reported Route 255 between Johnsonburg and St Marys is closed.
Dispatch said heavy truck traffic on Route 948 near Highland Township was being rerouted. Several people reported flooding in their basements, nearly one foot of water.
A flash flood warning remains in effect until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
