Alice J. Supko, 80, of Houtzdale died Friday, May 2, 2014 at her home.
She was the daughter of the late Frank and Maude (Quick) Roach born May 13, 1933 in Morrisdale. She married Joseph H. Supko on April 25, 1953 in Winchester, Va.; he survives at home.
Mrs. Supko was a member of the Osceola Mills United Methodist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion in Houtzdale. She was retired from the former Altoona Hospital in the admissions department and graduated from the former Osceola Mills High School class of 1953. She was an avid reader and artist.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Norabelle Martin, Betty Burton, Harriet Hubler and an infant sister, Phyllis Jean Roach and a brother, Patrick Roach.
Along with her husband, Mrs. Supko is survived by three daughters, Rebecca Blount of Curwensville, Sue Supko Yarger and her husband, Dale of Houtzdale; and Patti Baker and her companion, Larry Baker of Clearfield and a son Daniel B. Supko and his wife, Patty (Ivic) of Bellefonte.
She’s survived by two sisters, Kathryn Mehallow of Hawk Run and Ellen Bambarger of Morrisdale; nine grandchildren, Robert Burns, Jennifer Supko Pettina, Benjamin Supko, Nicholas Bartley, Kristen Bartley, Allison Bartley, Amanda Baker, Gabriell Baker and Jebadiah Baker; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Elsie Roach of Coalport.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, with Pastor Jennifer C. Heikes. Burial will be at the American Legion Cemetery in Brisbin.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
