Patricia A. McGarvey, 74, of Hyde died Monday, April 7, 2014 at the Penn Highlands DuBois.
She was born Jan. 6, 1940 in Philipsburg, a daughter of the late Jerome and Elizabeth (Lauder) Lumadue.
Mrs. McGarvey had been employed as a beautician at Sassy Scissors for 10 years. She was Methodist by faith.
She is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Kaye Thorpe and her husband, Michael of Clearfield and Victoria A. Rich of Daytona Beach, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Ashley Rich, Jamie Lingle, Ian Rich, Ralph Lingle, Meghan Lesperance, Jennifer Gatermann, Emily Luzier and Caedan Sauder; and two great-granddaughters, Karter Bell and Sophie Lingle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. McGarvey on June 6, 2011 and whom she wed March 6, 1967 in Rockville, Md.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn Luzier; two sons, Michael and Thomas Mullen; and a sister, Dixie Elaine Lumadue.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with the Rev. Dr. Randy Willis officiating.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Monday at the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 275 21st St., Clearfield.
