Gerald Raymond Burton, 79, formerly of DuBois, died Tuesday, March 4, 2014 in Brookville.
Born Oct. 25, 1934, he was the son of the late John A. Burton and Mary L. (Hambrosky) Burton.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. After more than 30 years of service as an inspector, he retired from the Brockway Glass Co.
He was a member of the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
He’s survived by three children, Deborah N. Burton and Lisa A. Hoover and her husband, Roger, both of DuBois and Pamela L. Craft of Brockway; two sisters, Marian Elias of Butler and Betty J. Bellingham of Dallas, Texas; and three grandchildren, Jessica Hoover, Army Fortunato and Brandon Craft.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Burton and his sister, Evelyn Nichols.
Friends will be received from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Thursday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Fr. Daniel Kresinski officiating.
Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery.
