Dorothy E. Stiver, 82, of La Jose died Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 at UPMC Altoona.
Born April 06, 1931 in Chest Township, she was the daughter of Crawford and Dora (Hazelton) Frailey. She was married to Robert Stiver on March 10, 1951.
Mrs. Stiver was a homemaker.
She’s survived by her sons, Carl Stiver of Rockton, Donald Stiver and his wife, Annette of LaJose and Richard Stiver and his wife, Diana of Punxsutawney; her brothers, Robert Frailey of Curwensville and Dean Frailey of Irvona; her sisters, Alvetta Kearns of Coalport, Donna Slingerland of Wellsville, NY, Mabel Brink of New Castle and Nancy Holes of Portville, NY; her grandchildren, Brian, Jason and his wife, Sharon, James and his wife, Crystal, Derek, Corey and Mason; and her great-grandchildren, Owen, Zane and Levi.
Mrs. Stiver was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert Stiver, on Sept. 4, 1983; a son, Thomas Stiver; her sisters, Mira Jean Diem, Luella Posanskey and Delma Frailey; and her brother, Heuber Frailey.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home Inc., 91 Rose St., in Irvona.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Myron Wattenphul officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, LaJose.
