Richard L. Cantolina Sr., 65, of Morrisdale died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014 at his residence. Born July 9, 1948 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Anthony Cantolina and Dorothy Hubler Cantolina of Morrisdale.
Mr. Cantolina was a 1966 graduate of the West Branch High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. He was a member of the Frenchville VFW Post No. 8386 and the Mosquito Creek Sportsmen’s Club.
He was a self-employed truck driver.
He’s survived by two daughters, Tammy L. Kanouff and her husband, Toby of Morrisdale and Susan G. Cantolina of Milton and three sons, Michael R. Cantolina and his wife, Theresa of Drifting, Steven D. Cantolina of Williamsport and Richard L. Cantolina of Frenchville.
Mr. Cantolina is also survived by three sisters, Gloria Schucker of Rochester, NY, Marsha Butterworth of Philipsburg and Carmela Burfield of Morrisdale; five brothers, Allen Cantolina of Sayre, NY, John Cantolina of Virginia, Pat Cantolina of Clearfield and William Cantolina and David Cantolina, both of Morrisdale; a girlfriend for more than 21 years, Debra Wisor of Morrisdale; and seven grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Amanda Kanouff and Toben Kanouff III.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Gethsemane United Methodist Church, Morrisdale, with the Rev. Heather Baker-McAllister officiating.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday at the Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale.
Military honors will be accorded at the church by the Leigey-Renaud VFW Post No. 8386.
