Organization Urges Community Members to Learn Skills Which Can Save Lives
DUBOIS – With the cold weather here to stay for the foreseeable future, the American Red Cross has courses and resources available for people to learn how to treat and prevent a variety of emergencies that may take place during the heart of winter.
This February, the Red Cross will offer in-class training for community members to gain lifesaving skills and further prepare for potential cold weather emergencies. Interested area residents can register for these courses by visiting RedCross.org or calling 1-800-REDCROSS.
The following courses will be offered by the PA Heartland Chapter this month. The classes will be held at the Red Cross office at 109 N. Brady St. in DuBois.
- Feb. 15; 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED; $110
- Feb. 15; 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.; Adult CPR/AED; $70
