CLEARFIELD – In 2008, the Clearfield Revitalization Corp. (CRC) began rallying residents, government officials, volunteers, business and property owners, key stakeholders and others around a central cause: “Leading the Revitalization of the All-American People, Places and Spirit of Clearfield.”
Now, members of the public are invited to join the CRC at its annual community gathering. During the gathering, CRC representatives will report the successes of the past five years, as well as share their vision for the next five years.
The CRC will also recognize its new and outgoing board members. The 2014 CRC Board of Directors includes: Katie Penoyer, president; Joseph Kelly, vice president; Lisa Kovalick, secretary; Justin Schenck, treasurer; Leslie Stott, James Schell, Eric Cummings, Katie Miknis, Darla Smay, Kimberly Durant, the Rev. J. Robert Mellgard; Karen Miller; and Kathy Jacobson.
The community gathering will take place on Jan. 29 at St. Charles Café, located at 226 N. Third St., Clearfield. A meet-and-greet will be held from 4:30 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.; the community meeting will take place from 5:15 p.m. – 6 p.m.
The community gathering is open to all businesses, community residents, volunteers, business owners, employees and social clubs. All ages are welcome and the event is free; you can meet the faces of the CRC and learn about the Main Street approach.
