Marilyn J. McKeehen, 80, of Curwensville died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center. She was born Nov. 9, 1933 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Freeman and Margaret (Evans) Wood.
Mrs. McKeehen was a member of the Curwensville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Les McKeehen of Curwensville and Brent McKeehen and his wife, Gina of North Wales; two grandsons, Joseph and Michael McKeehen, both of North Wales; three nieces, Karen, Genny and Theresa Wood of Clearfield; and a great-niece, Alicia Rougeux of Clearfield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don R. ‘Mike’ McKeehen on Jan. 8, 2006 and whom she wed Sept. 25, 1954 in Curwensville. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Norma Wood and a brother, Freeman Wood Jr.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. At the request of Mrs. McKeehen, there will be no public visitation. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Curwensville United Methodist Church, 602 State St., Curwensville, or to the Orphans of the Storm, c/o Peggy Sass, 223 Hill St., Curwensville, or to Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 275 21st St., Clearfield.
