PENNSYLVANIA – Average retail gasoline prices in Pennsylvania have risen 1 cent per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.39 per gallon yesterday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 5,269 gas outlets in Pennsylvania. This compares with the national average that has fallen 1.4 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.25 per gallon, according to gasoline price Web site GasBuddy.com.
Including the change in gas prices in Pennsylvania during the past week, prices yesterday were 17.7 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 7.6 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. The national average has decreased 1.3 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 14.2 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago.
“With Thanksgiving behind us, it appears that a nominal decline in retail gasoline prices will ring in the first week of December for most parts of the country,” said GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Gregg Laskoski.
“With the government’s report of healthy fuel inventories and U.S. refinery output reaching its highest level since early October, the savings at the pump is coming just in time,” Laskoski added.
