Charles W. ‘Tim’ Timko, 88, of Clearfield died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 at the Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.
He was born Nov. 11, 1925 in Boardman, a son of the late Michael and Julia (Krysa) Timko.
He was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield. He was also a member of the American Legion John Lewis Shade Post No. 6, Clearfield.
A veteran of World War II, Mr. Timko served with the U.S. Army.
He is survived by a son, Timothy Timko and his wife, Lynnette of Clearfield; two grandchildren, Josselyn and Jared Timko; a great-granddaughter, Kaleia; and a brother, Metro Timko and his wife, Nancy of Houtzdale.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanetta (Lanager) Timko on Aug. 3, 1999 and whom he wed May 21, 1949 in Ramey; two sisters, Ann Washburn and Margaret Timko; and four brothers, George, Michael, Andrew and John Timko.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
At the request of Mr. Timko, there will be no public visitation.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Francis Educational Endowment Fund, 212 S. Second St., Clearfield.
