CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Revitalization Corp. (CRC) has announced its holiday promotion series: Shop Clearfield for Christmas.
The CRC has introduced new opportunities this year to promote shopping local. The promotion will kick-off with the “12 Days of Clearfield for Christmas.” This Facebook promotion will showcase a variety of items that can be purchased locally for anyone on your list. The promotion will run Nov. 25 through Dec. 6 on the CRC’s Facebook Page.
The CRC encourages everyone to come downtown on Nov. 30 for Small Business Saturday. Downtown businesses will be running specials, and the CRC will be set up at the Henry & Co. building providing free gift wrapping and snacks for downtown shoppers from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., sponsored by Penn State Dubois.
In addition, patrons can be rewarded for visiting downtown businesses throughout this holiday season. The CRC will be hosting a Frequent Visitor Program from Nov. 30th through Dec. 7. For every five visits to a participating downtown business, visitors can be entered to win one of many gift certificates. No purchase is required.
The CRC will once again host its Annual Taste of the Town Spirit Tour from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. Dec. 6. The CRC has partnered with local wineries and breweries, and each participating business location will offer a different beverage sample and complimentary food item. Plus, there will be exclusive specials for those on the tour.
Local artists will be showing off their work and the Clearfield High School Show Choir will be caroling their way through town. To participate in this event, please register with the CRC. Early-registration tickets are $15 each through Nov. 30 and include a wristband, souvenir glass and walking map.
Tickets from Dec. 3-7 are $20. Tickets can be purchased at the CRC office Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. at 125 E. Market St. or by calling 814-765-6000. The CRC thanks their sponsors who are making this night possible: CNB Bank, Ogden Legacy Insurance and Tracy Clark-Radzieta, CPA.
Main Street Manager Heather Bozovich stated, “Supporting local business is beneficial to our local economy. Not only does more money stay local, but also shopping small, local businesses has advantages for shoppers.
“Throughout our downtown stores, the staff is more familiar with their merchandise and offer personalized assistance in a low-stress atmosphere. This is something you cannot find online or at a large chain store. If everyone committed to purchasing at least one gift locally this holiday season, Clearfield would see a great impact.”
The CRC wishes everyone a safe and happy holiday season. If you would like to make a contribution to the CRC or for more information about our events, please call 814-765-6000.
