Tillie Zaffuto, 85, of Columbus, OH, formerly of Sykesville, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013 at the Sunrise Nursing Home in Worthington, Ohio.
Born March 6, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Carmelo Zaffuto and Gaetana “Tillie” (Vitello) Zaffuto.
She traveled after she retired from Equitable Life Assurance, where she was an administrative assistant. She enjoyed taking photos of all of those places and frequently shared her photos with family and friends.
She loved to dance and paint. She loved music and attended the symphony and ballet frequently.
She’s survived by her sister, Ann Zaffuto of DuBois. She was a loving and caring aunt to five nieces, seven nephews and 12 great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Stella (Zaffuto) London and Lillian (Zaffuto) Murdock and two brothers, Samuel Zaffuto and Anthony Zaffuto.
Friends will be received from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Thursday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at the Chapel at Christ the King Manor with Fr. John Bauer as celebrant.
Burial will be in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery in Sykesville.
