Rosemary Kovach, 89, of Clearfield died Friday, Nov. 15, 2013 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
Born Aug. 24, 1924 in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late George Edward and Emma Nowatka Bateman.
Mrs. Kovach was a graduate of the Cooper Township High School. She had worked in the nursing department for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Mrs. Kovach was a member of the Cooper Township Sportsmen’s Club, Winburne.
She was married to Joseph Kovach, who had preceded her in death.
Mrs. Kovach was survived by two daughters, Paulette Prince and her husband, Sherman of Pittsburgh and Sharon Josefik and her husband, Frank of Lanse; a son, Richard Kovach and his wife, Nina of Pittsburgh; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Sherman Shawn Prince. She was the last member of her generation.
A private service was held Saturday at the Chapel of the Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale, with the Pastor Matt Mitchell officiating. Burial was in the Emmanuel United Methodist Cemetery, Winburne.
There will be no public visitation.
