On Saturday, police responded to a suspicious situation in the 300 block of Knarr Street. During the incident, a woman knocked loudly for more than an hour on an apartment door. Police determined she was an occupant who had accidentally been locked out. Police assisted the woman with gaining access.
On Saturday, police met with a concerned individual who had located damage to the door of the DuFast terminal in the 100 block of West Long Avenue.
Police located a lost, tan-colored Chihuahua with a blue collar in the 430 block of Juniata Street. Further, a concerned citizen offered to house the dog until Monday when it could be turned over to the SPCA.Â
Police reported an incident of theft from a motor vehicle that occurred Sunday in the 100 block of South Franklin Street. The victim told police someone had stolen cash from her vehicle overnight.
On Sunday, police responded to the DuBois Regional Medical Center – West for an intoxicated male who was causing problems. Upon arrival police located the male in the 500 block of Locust Street, and he was cited for public drunkenness.
On Monday, police responded to the 400 block of Locust Street for two males who were allegedly trying to break into vehicles. Upon arrival police engaged in a foot pursuit with the male suspects who couldn’t be located after canvasing the area. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact DuBois City police.Â
