Police reported a wanted person Tuesday at the Wal-Mart store. The caller identified the person as Shawn Cutlip, who was in the back of a pick-up truck that just left the store. Police stopped the truck, at which point Cutlip fled from them. However, DuBois City, Sandy Township and state police surrounded Cutlip and took him into custody. Cutlip was turned over to the Pennsylvania State Police who had arrest warrants for him.
Police reported an alleged assault Tuesday in the 100 block of Grant Street. While speaking with the victim, he told police his sister had assaulted him. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
Police reported an alleged assault Tuesday in the 200 block of South Brady Street. Upon arrival the victim told police the male suspect wasn’t any longer at the scene and had fled out the back door. Further, the victim told police the suspect had thrown her to the ground, and when she hit the floor she lost consciousness. The victim had a lump on the back of her head and was taken to the DuBois Regional Medical Center – West for treatment of her injuries. Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Charges have been filed for simple assault and harassment.Â
