Betina Nicklas, director of Veterans Affairs for Clearfield County, and Janice Stephenson, center manager, invite the public to the Clearfield Center for Active Living on Oct. 17. Nicklas will speak about various benefits available to veterans and their spouses.
The program will begin at 1 p.m., and topics to be discussed include claims processes, health care and the three levels of veterans’ and survivors’ pension. She will also present information on burial benefits, changes in policy that may affect your VA benefits, service-connected disability claims, education grants, VA home loans and more. The Veterans Affairs (VA) office additionally provides information and referral for veterans and their families.
There are no reservations needed for the program. The center is located in the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging building at 103 N.
