Twila A. Allen, 102, formerly of DuBois, died Monday, Sept. 23, 2013 at her daughter’s home in Burbank, Calif.
Born Aug. 2, 1911 in DuBois, she was the daughter of the late Joseph V. and Twila (Mikelonis) Markalonis.
She graduated from the DuBois High School in 1928.
She was married to Joseph Walko. He preceded her in death in 1965. She then married Michael Petrosky. He preceded her in death in 1977.  She then married James Allen. He preceded her in death in 2007.
She was a member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church and was a past member of the Ladies Guild, Rosary Society, church choir and the church parish council. She also was a member of the Litts Club Auxiliary and the Knights of Lithuania Council 86. She was a past member of the Community Christian Choir.
She was a homemaker. Prior to that, she worked for the Treasure Lake Property Owners Association and Dealer’s Finance in DuBois.
In her spare time, she enjoyed fancy work crocheting, knitting, baking, cooking, dancing, gardening and traveling.
She’s survived by her four children, Joseph Walko of Clifton Park, NY, Philip Walko of Charlotte, NC, Rosemary Frizzell of DuBois and Marilyn Joffe of Burbank, Calif.; nine grandchildren; five step-grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Ann Sadeckas, Mary Barnauskas, Josephine Marchinke, Margaret Stanos and Beatrice Bludgen; one brother, William Markalonis; and one son, Edward Walko.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Daniel Kresinski as celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
