PINE TOWNSHIP – A 74-year-old Montoursville man, Larry E. Harris, was flown to the Altoona Hospital with major injuries after an accident Tuesday on Interstate 80 westbound at mile-marker 109.3 in Pine Township, reported the state police at DuBois.
Harris was traveling west on I-80 in the left-hand lane. For unknown reasons, he lost control while negotiating a left-hand curve in the roadway. His vehicle exited the roadway on the south berm, traveled in a southwest direction for 350 feet and then struck a tree, state police said.
State police were assisted at the scene by Clearfield Emergency Medical Services, MedEvac, the Lawrence Township, Penfield and Oklahoma fire & rescue departments, PennDOT and towing services.
