A burglary was reported Friday in the 100 block of East Weber Avenue during which someone entered a residence and stole money and other items from the home.
The theft of scrap was reported on Friday from a business located in the 600 block of DuBois Street.
Police were called to four, non-reportable accidents, where no one was injured and none of the vehicles needed to be towed.
A 31-year-old DuBois man was taken into custody at the city park after he violated a protection from abuse order that was filed against him. He was placed in the Clearfield County Jail.
On Saturday a man was found lying on the ground in a parking lot located in the 200 block of West Long Avenue. He was reported to have been unconscious prior to police arrival. It’s currently unclear if he had fallen or had been assaulted. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
On Saturday police received a complaint about two dogs that were tied outside of a residence in the 400 block of Pifer Street. The dogs didn’t have any shelter, food or water, and the neighbors agreed to care for the dogs until the homeowner’s returned.
On Saturday police provided an escort to the New York and Pennsylvania Patriot Guard Riders through Sandy Township and DuBois City, as they were en route to Westover. The riders were returning a lost Purple Heart to the heirs of the recipient who served in World War II.
On Saturday police received a complaint from a concerned citizen on South Franklin Street who had observed two males chasing after a female and attempting to stop and catch her. The juveniles who matched the descriptions provided were stopped by police who determined a minor dispute had occurred among the juveniles.
Police responded to a domestic disturbance between a male and female Saturday in the 100 block of South Franklin Street. Upon arrival police determined both individuals had been consuming alcohol and engaged in a verbal argument. The female agreed to leave for the evening.
On Saturday police were dispatched to the 200 block of South Brady Street for the theft of CDs from three weeks ago. Police spoke to the victim who stated he’d loaned several CDs to a known female, and now she will not return them.
Police were dispatched to a disturbance between roommates Saturday at a residence in the 200 block of South Brady Street. One of the roommates had been consuming alcohol and was harassing the other tenants. Upon arrival police calmed the individuals involved and advised the suspect if it continued the other tenants could have him arrested for harassment. All individuals agreed to separate for the evening. No charges were filed.
On Sunday police were dispatched to a domestic disturbance on East Second Avenue, as a juvenile was allegedly out of control and threatening to break items at a residence. The individuals involved were calmed by police.
While patrolling Sunday at the DuBois City Park after hours, police observed several individuals who were sitting on a picnic table. One was allegedly smoking a glass pipe, which police recognized as drug paraphernalia used for smoking marijuana. Police approached a 19-year-old Dubois man and found him in possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed against him.Â
Someone stole parts from a vehicle Sunday while it was parked in front of a residence in the 400 block of Maple Avenue.
A DuBois resident came home Sunday to the first block of East Scribner Avenue and found her doors open. Nothing was found out of the ordinary.Â
