Sally Lou Kephart, 74, of Sandy Ridge died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013 at her home.
She was the daughter of the late Ralph H. and E. Helen (Kanouff) Cartwright born June 6, 1939 in Philipsburg. She married Richard W. Kephart on June 26, 1965 at the Faith United Methodist Church in Sandy Ridge. He survives her at home.
Mrs. Kephart was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Sandy Ridge, where she was secretary of the church Sunday school and a member of the Faith United Methodist Church Dorcas Circle. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Mt. Top Fire Company in Sandy Ridge.
She was a 1957 graduate of the former Philipsburg High School. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Along with her husband, Mrs. Kephart is survived by a daughter, Shelley Reese and her husband, J.P. of Sandy Ridge; two sons, Richard W. “Rick” Kephart, Jr. and his wife, Kathy of Kittanning and Scott A. “Skip” Kephart and his wife, Tracy of Sandy Ridge; a sister, Bonnie Lee Johnson and her husband, Harry of Sandy Ridge; and a brother, Ralph E. (Tiny) Cartwright and his wife, Joanne of Sandy Ridge. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Katie Lyn Reese, Shane Kephart, Kyle Reese and Haydn Kephart.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, with Pastor Jennifer C. Heikes officiating. Burial will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery in Philipsburg.
Friends will be received from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service Monday at the funeral home.
