A hit-and-run accident occurred Monday at the intersection of East DuBois Avenue and Division Street. Upon investigation police located the motorist who struck a pole. Police obtained their information and provided it to the City of DuBois.
On Monday police responded to the VFW for an intoxicated male who was attempting to leave in a green-colored minivan. Upon arrival police stopped the male’s vehicle on Fuller Avenue; the male was extremely intoxicated. Police placed the male under arrest for DUI and transported him to the DuBois Regional Medical Center – West for blood testing. Charges are currently pending against the male.
On Tuesday police responded to the emergency room at the DuBois Regional Medical Center – West for an intoxicated male patient who was being disorderly. Upon arrival police settled the male, and he was removed from the hospital.
An incident of theft occurred Tuesday at a residence in the 200 block of East Park Avenue. The victim told police she had multiple items stolen from her vehicle and gave them a name of a potential suspect. Upon contacting the suspect, he allowed police inside his residence, where they could observe the stolen items in plain view. Charges are pending against the male.
On Tuesday a male refused to leave the DuBois Diner. Upon arrival police were advised the male had been stalking one of the female employees for the past two days. The male was allegedly asked to leave several times, but he refused to leave until he could speak with the female employee. Police contacted the male and advised him that he needed to leave the business, or he would be arrested for trespassing. The male told police he wasn’t going to leave, and they would have to arrest him. Police then arrested the male and removed him from the business.
