Joshua Taylor Barger, 20, of Philipsburg died Tuesday, July 30, 2013 in Chester Hill.
Born Aug. 4, 1992 at Clearfield, he was the son of Renee Barger of Philipsburg and Jerry Dixon and his wife, Tammy of Chester Hill.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Sydney Bowman of Philipsburg; his maternal grandparents, Tom Larson of Clearfield and Dale Decker of Clearfield; his paternal grandparents, Wayne and Nancy Dixon of Chester Hill; his step-father, Troy Bowman of Philipsburg; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Lewis Ray Bebee Sr. His grandmother, Dale, referred to him as “my little man.”
He attended Philipsburg-Osceola High School and graduated from the Glen Mills Academy. He also attended Triangle Tech, where he was on the honor roll. He was currently employed with LDI Construction in Hyde. He enjoyed skateboarding and weight lifting.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St., Philipsburg, with the Rev. Mark Melhorn officiating. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
