TYRONE – The Tyrone Fitness and Wellness Center will provide an educational program entitled “Introduction to Health, Wellness and Yoga.”
The program will be held Aug. 6 from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. in the main lobby at the new Tyrone Health & Wellness Building at 154 Hospital Dr., Tyrone PA 16686.
The program will be presented by Lannette Johnston, MS, BSN, RN, CHC, certified health coach and director of outreach at Tyrone Hospital and Nicole Schenk, certified yoga instructor and facility coordinator at the Tyrone Fitness and Wellness Center.
Those who attend the program will learn about wellness and the steps everyone can take to improve their health and prevent chronic illness, how Yoga supports good health and will learn simple Yoga exercises to do at home.
The program is free and open to the public. RSVP is requested as seating is limited. To reserve your seat or for more information, you should call the Tyrone Fitness and Wellness Center at 814-684-2117.
The introduction to Health, Wellness and Yoga class is the first in a series of monthly wellness classes that will be offered at the Tyrone Fitness and Wellness Center.
The Tyrone Fitness and Wellness Center was developed through a partnership between ProCare Fitness and Tyrone Hospital. The facility is located on the Tyrone Hospital Campus at 154 Hospital Dr., Suite 1 in Tyrone. The facility is outfitted with a broad range of fitness equipment, offers a variety of fitness and wellness programs, group fitness classes and the services of a health coach. The Tyrone Fitness and Wellness Center is open to the public and serves people age 18 and older.
