CLEARFIELD – PennDOT will team up with the Clearfield Borough Police Department at the Clearfield County Fair on Kids’ Day.
The Clearfield Borough Police Department will offer free fingerprinting from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Expo II Plaza, while PennDOT will allow attendees to try their hand at Distract-A-Match.
The shape- and color-matching game shows how distractions can inhibit a person’s ability to complete a simple game. Participants are able to see that adding variables to a more complex task, such as driving, can have wider effects.
Starting in the fall, Distract-A-Match will also be available to demonstrate at District 2 high schools and community organizations. PennDOT’s District 2 includes Cameron, Centre, Clinton, Clearfield, Elk, Juniata, McKean, Mifflin and Potter counties. To schedule the game, contact Safety Press Officer Dawn Roussey at 814-765-0598.
