A 24-year-old Denton Avenue man fell asleep at the wheel while driving Wednesday on South Brady Street. This caused his vehicle to veer across the roadway into the opposite lane of travel. There, it struck a retaining wall and traveled into the front porch of a residence before going up a steep embankment. At that point, his vehicle went airborne and struck another that was parked in a driveway. This pushed the parked vehicle into the side of a residence. The driver was taken to the DuBois Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
On Wednesday employees of Sackers Collectibles in the DuBois Mall reported that a group of four males were in the store and possibly stole several cards worth more than $200. The investigation is continuing at this time.
