TYRONE – There are still a few spots open for golfers and still time for interested organizations to sponsor the 12th annual Tyrone Hospital Foundation Golf Tournament.
The outing sponsor is the Tyrone Hospital medical staff. Corporate sponsors are DelGrosso’s Amusement Park and DelGrosso Fine Foods Inc., American Eagle Paper Mills, UPMC Health Plan and Highmark.
Tournament proceeds will be donated to Tyrone Hospital’s capital fund, the Tyrone Hospital Foundation’s effort to update the surgical services department, improve the physical plant and introduce green initiatives to become more energy efficient, renovate patient-care areas and invest in new medical equipment.
The golf tournament will be held Aug. 28 at Sinking Valley Country Club.  The event includes golf, a lunch and beverage cart and prize opportunities at select holes.
Sponsorship opportunities are as follows; Outing Sponsor $2,500, Corporate Sponsor $1,500, Course Sponsor $750, Tee Sponsor $250. The fee for a team of four golfers is $500.
The tournament is best ball-four man scramble. There is one shotgun with tee off at 9 a.m.
