DUBOIS – Whether you’re a veteran shoe pitcher, or have never set foot around a pit, everyone is invited to sign up for the Penn State DuBois Alumni Society’s Inaugural Horseshoe Tournament.
The tournament is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Sept. 28, at Dad’s Horseshoe Club, on No. 2 Shaft Road, off of South Brady Street in DuBois. Since Dad’s Horseshoe Club has both indoor and outdoor horseshoe pits, the event will be held rain or shine.
Two-person team registrations, as well as single entries are encouraged, as a partner can be found for anybody that doesn’t have one. The entry fee is $20 per single player, and $35 per two-player team. Fee includes food and beverages. Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place winners. All proceeds benefit Alumni Society programs and scholarships.
