Norma J. Spaid, 80, a resident of Marion Manor Personal Care Home and formerly of Curwensville, died Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Clearfield Hospital
Born Dec. 24, 1932 in Curwensville, she was the daughter of Charles and Alice (Shaffer) Riddle. She was affiliated with Curwensville Alliance Church.
She had been a waitress and last worked at the former Big Wrangler Steakhouse in Clearfield and she also worked as a caregiver.
She is survived by three children, Wanda J. Smeal and her husband, Greg of Philipsburg, Randy Spaid and his wife, Kelly of Dubois and Timothy Spaid and his wife, Eileen of Jacksonville, Fla.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Chris Maines and his wife, Jenni of Mesa, AZ, Stephanie Hodder and her husband, Howard of Mechanicsburg, Mark Spaid of Clearfield, Brian Spaid and his wife, Shawna of West Virginia, Bradley Spaid and his wife, Nicole of Fort Reilly, KS, Kyle Spaid of California and Kurtis Spaid of Jacksonville, Fla.; six great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Margie Riddle of Fredrick, MD.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Charles, Larry and Donnie Riddle; and her sisters, Joan Neff and Rose Riddle.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be held in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville. There will be no public visitation.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
