Friday, July 26
Natural Laundry Detergent
6:30 p.m. – Environmental Education Classroom
Whether you’re looking to reduce spending or improve your environmental footprint, homemade laundry soap can be a rewarding activity for the whole family! You’ll make a batch of homemade laundry detergent with the naturalist, as we discuss the benefits of using this soap. Participants will take home a sample to try for themselves.
Saturday, July 27
Yoga at the Beach
10 a.m. – Beach House
Start your day with Laurelee from Namaste’s Center for Well-being leads us in a beginner’s level yoga class on Parker Dam’s tranquil beach. Be prepared to brighten your day as you attune your body during this free class.
Making Natural Soap
2 p.m. – Environmental Education Classroom
Join us as we discuss and demonstrate the process of soap making. Natural soap making is a traditional craft using natural products that do not harm our health or our environment. Learn how to make your own soap and what ingredients may be beneficial to you.

Natural Cleaners:
1 p.m. – Environmental Education Classroom
Why go natural and avoid commercial cleaners? Learn more about what is toxic and harmful in our store bought cleaners. Then discover how to make your own natural cleaners to use at home. You may be surprised at how well they work for you.
Tea and Talk– Organics
6 p.m. – Beach House
We’ve all heard the word, but what does it really mean to be organic? Join us as we learn all about the ins and outs of certified organic; while sampling some natural sweet fern tea and discussing other wild teas that can be found throughout Pennsylvania.
