Angeline L. Holden, 92, of Osceola Mills died Friday, May 31, 2013 at her home.
She was the daughter of the late Martin and Mary (Kantoski) Grundusky born Oct. 31, 1920 in Osceola Mills. She married the late Russell S. Holden on July 30, 1938 in Osceola Mills. He preceded her in death June 28, 1992.
Mrs. Holden was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, where she was also a member of the Immaculate Conception Rosary Society and former Religious Education instructor.
She was a homemaker, and formerly employed at the Viceroy Clothing factory in Osceola Mills and Ziff’s Clothing Store in Philipsburg.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Holden was preceded in death by an infant son, Jimmy; a son, Edward Holden; five sisters, Edna Murray, Ann Kawa, Florence “Flo” Stuss, Kathryn Yosua and Helen Jeneski; and five brothers, Leo, Joseph, Frank, Edward and Bernard Grundusky. She was the last of her generation.
She is survived by two daughters, Doris Holden of Geneva, NY and Nancy Baughman and her husband, William of Osceola Mills; four sons, Russell J. Holden and his wife, Carol, Kenneth J. Holden and his wife, Pat and Thomas E. Holden and his wife, Lisa of Philipsburg and Gerald M. Holden and his wife, Marcia of Osceola Mills; 21 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Patsy Holden of Osceola Mills and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, with Father Robert J. Horgas as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Osceola Mills.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home, 701 Lingle St., Osceola Mills.
The Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
