Jeanette Marie Hoover, 74, of Winburne died Friday, May 24, 2013 at the UPMC – Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born April 6, 1939 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Newton L. and Rosanna Little Stark.
Ms. Hoover was of the Catholic faith.
She was a graduate of the Cooper High School. She was a member of AMVETS in Philipsburg and LOOM #941 of Grassflat.
She’s survived by two sons, Douglas Baylay of Winburne and Daniel Bayley and his companion, Stephanie of Bigler; one granddaughter, Ashlin Dodge and one great-grandson, Waylon Dodge, both of Houtzdale.
Also surviving are two brothers, Newton G. Stark of Huntingdon and Thomas J. Stark and his wife, Donna of Woodland; a niece, Brittany Stark of Woodland; and a former husband, Miles Hoover of Winburne.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her companion, William L. Steele.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Johnson Funeral Home, Grassflat, with the Father David A. Perry Jr. officiating. Burial will be at the St. Severin Roman Catholic Cemetery, Drifting.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
