Boy Scout Troop 9 Knights of Columbus under the leadership of John Mayersky recently traveled to Harrisburg to tour the State Capitol. The troop received an “inside” tour of the office of Speaker of the House the Hon. Sam Smith of Jefferson County. The tour continued with the scouts walking onto the floor of the House of Representatives and sitting in the chair for the Speaker of the House.  State Rep. Tommy Sankey also talked to the scouts about state government and the election process. Sankey also provided a guided tour of his office.
