A 74-year-old TreasureLake man reported that he was victim to a scam on Friday. A man called him stating if he would go buy Green Dot money cards, he could get credit on his Dish Network account. He purchased the cards and the man called him back asking him to give him the numbers for the cards, which he did. He then realized this was a scam.
On Friday, an 84-year-old Falls Creek woman failed to stop in time to avoid hitting a vehicle driven by a 62-year-old Treasure Lake man that was slowing down to turn onto Kiwanis Trail from Main Street. Minor injuries and severe damage were reported.
On Friday, a 12th Street resident reported someone shot at and damaged their pool.
A vehicle driven by a 20-year-old Allentown woman hit a curb and subsequently parked vehicles in the Ponderosa parking lot on Friday. No injuries were reported. Speed was determined to be a factor in the accident.
A false alarm occurred Saturday at Old Navy.
A 48-year-old Dixon Avenue man reported that when he woke up Saturday, he found an unknown male sleeping on his couch. He woke the male up and got him to leave the home, but he walked back in stating he lost his cell phone. The 21-year-old Reynoldsville man then left the residence. Officers located the man walking in the NAPA parking lot. He still appeared intoxicated and was uncooperative with officers. Charges were filed and the man was transported to the Clearfield County Jail.
Emergency personnel reported Saturday that when they picked up a patient from a Flewad Road residence, they found the home to be uninhabitable. There was an elderly man living there and the appropriate agencies were contacted to evaluate the situation.
A false alarm occurred Sunday at Mid-State Amusement.
A 31-year-old Reynoldsville woman lost control of her vehicle while she was traveling on Wayne Road on Sunday in the vicinity of San Spur Road. It traveled off the road and came to rest head-on with a tree. The woman was seriously injured and transported to Pittsburgh for treatment. Alcohol is a suspected factor in the accident.
A Brookville man reported Sunday that while he was parking his vehicle in the Lowe’s parking lot, he hit another vehicle. No damage was visible.
