An incident of criminal mischief occurred Saturday on Third Street in PikeTownship. Someone struck a Curwensville man’s residence with several eggs. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Clearfield-based state police at 814-857-3800.
Two people sustained moderate injuries after a single-vehicle accident Saturday on Interstate 80 eastbound at mile-marker 117.4 in LawrenceTownship. John R. Curtaim Jr., 50, of Morrisdale was traveling in the left-hand lane when his vehicle exited the north berm and struck an embankment in the median. His vehicle subsequently overturned multiple times before coming to a rest in the median. Both Curtaim and his passenger, Michelle L. Hubler, also of Morrisdale, were transported from the scene via ambulance and then flown to the AltoonaHospital for medical treatment. The investigation is ongoing at this time. State Police were assisted by Clearfield and Madera Emergency Medical Services and the LawrenceTownship and Bigler-Jackson-Woodland fire departments.
A single-vehicle accident occurred Sunday on Walnut Street in GulichTownship. A 53-year-old Beccaria man drove his vehicle off the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole. The man wasn’t wearing his seatbelt and was transported to the AltoonaHospital by emergency medical services for treatment. His vehicle sustained severe damage to its front end and was towed from the scene. The investigation is continuing.
A DUI-related accident occurred Saturday along Harper Mine Road in PennTownship and involved a 24-year-old Curwensville man. The man was traveling southbound when he lost control of his vehicle, which then exited the roadway and struck a tree. Upon speaking with the man, state police determined he was under the influence of alcohol. He was transported from the scene to the ClearfieldHospital for a blood test. The blood test was sent to the state police’s Erie Crime Lab. The man wasn’t wearing his seatbelt and sustained moderate injuries. The investigation is pending blood analysis. State police were assisted by the Grampian Volunteer Fire Company and Rescue Hose & Ladder Ambulance Services.
