David B. Powell, 50, of Philipsburg died Thursday, May 16, 2013 at his father’s residence in Philipsburg. Born Aug. 25, 1962, he was the son of Ronald L. Powell of Philipsburg and the late Leah N. (Rodkey) Powell.
He is survived by a son, Aaron B. Powell of York and a sister, Rosalyn R. Hewitt and her husband, Melvin of McKnightstown.
He was preceded in death by his mother; his wife, Beth (Hoover) Powell and a sister, Alyce Powell.
He was of the Protestant faith and enjoyed fishing and going to flea markets and auctions.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Wallaceton Church of God, 184 Clearfield St., Wallaceton, PA with Pastor Matt Scott officiating. Burial will be in UmbriaCemetery, Osceola Mills.
There will be no public visitation.
