A 20-year-old Punxsutawney woman lost control of her vehicle on Monday, while she was traveling on the Blinker Parkway near Johnson Motors. Her vehicle veered off the roadway and swiped a telephone pole. Then, it continued across West Liberty Road and struck a ditch, sending it airborne and impacting pine trees after hitting the ground. The driver refused medical treatment and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
A 45-year-old South Highland Street woman was observed by Dollar General employees taking items from the store without paying for them on Monday. Retail theft charges have been filed.
On Monday an 18-year-old Penfield woman was observed by Wal-Mart employees taking a pair of ear buds out of their package and concealing them in her purse. Retail theft charges have been filed.
A 42-year-old Lincoln Drive woman reported Monday that she was being harassed by an acquaintance. The older man showed up uninvited to her home and has made unwelcomed comments to her in the past. The investigation is continuing.
Police investigated a report of two suspicious males who going into the woods across from The Roadside Creamery on Monday. They were later observed coming out with a bag. The males were gone upon police arrival. No further information was available.
