Wal-Mart employees reported Friday that they had observed a man who left the store with a tow strap and possibly a CD concealed on him that he did not pay for. The man got into a truck that is registered to a Ridgway address. The investigation is continuing at this time.
A Country Place resident reported Friday that they had observed two males who were acting suspiciously around a neighbor’s car. The males were gone upon police arrival. There wasn’t any sign that the vehicle had been tampered with.Â
A 49-year-old Portage man wrecked his vehicle while turning onto Industrial Drive on Friday and then fled the scene. It was discovered that the man had a suspended driver’s license. The investigation is continuing at this time.

A 27-year-old TreasureLake man reported Sunday that when he was traveling into the DuBois Mall parking lot from state Route 255, a vehicle pulled out from the stop sign at the intersection. The man driving the vehicle followed him and a verbal altercation ensued. The investigation is continuing at this time.
An employee of Wendy’s reported Sunday that a female driver was blowing her horn and yelling at the vehicle in front of her. She then left without paying for her food.Â
