Mary Ann (Betza) Maschack, 98, of Paramus, NJ and formerly of Smithmill, died Saturday, May 4, 2013 at her residence. She was born April 16, 1915, a daughter of the late Metro and Kathryn (Kolessar) Betza.
She married Michael Maschack, who preceded her in death on Oct. 7, 1995.
She was a parishioner of Holy Ascension Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Clifton, NJ and retired from Stern’s Department Store as a waitress.
She’s survived by two grandchildren, Timothy Maschack and Tina Martin, both of California; a sister, Nancy Betza of Erie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Wayne Maschack; a sister, Helen Gallagher; and six brothers, John, George, Frank, Charles, Michael and Stanley Betza.
Friends will be received from 9 a.m. -10:30 a.m. at the Kruise Funeral Home Inc., Ramey.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Ramey, with Fr. Anthony Balistreri officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Ramey.
