The gas prices right now are driven by the speculators on the stock market. While they become rich, the American people are suffering for it by paying more at the pump.
There is a solution to this, by drilling here, drilling now, and paying less at the pump. Right now it is against the law, and enacted by our U.S. Congress to drill or extract oil in Alaska, Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean, or the Shale Oil in the Rocky Mountians. The Shale Oil in the Rocky Mountains alone is over 3 times the amount that Saudi Arabia has in crude oil. China is drilling 50 miles off the coast of Florida. Brazil is drilling in the Atlantic Ocean and found 2 large reserves, they are now producing over 90 billion barrels of crude. They are now completely independent of all foreign countries for oil. We can stop this all by forcing Congress to do what we want, there is a national petition going on right now. All you have to do is go here.
This petition will force Congress to pass and go into effect to start drilling now. While we are drilling we can develop alternative energy, such as hydrogen. Congress had the opportunity to do this years ago.
