ALTOONA – Penn State Altoona’s Eco-Action team will hold this year’s Earth Day celebration April 21 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
The community is invited to stop by for games, activities, information, and entertainment around the pond and Laurel Pavilion. In case of rain, attendees should go to the Adler Athletic Complex.
There will be many activities to educate and involve the public in all things planet Earth, plus raffles, live music, an African drumming workshop, a rock-climbing wall, and crafts such as tie-dying. There will be a showing of the movie “The Lorax” and guest speakers.
An E-Waste drop off will be available throughout the event in the Juniata Gap parking lot for community members to bring old or broken electronics.
All activities are free and open to the public.
