MARTINSBURG — Sophomores Lexi Ritchey and Brooke Albright combined on a one-hitter and undefeated Central backed them with a 13-hit attack for an 11-1 Mercy Rule win over Clearfield in Mountain League scholastic softball action Wednesday afternoon.
Mikayla Ebeling had the lone hit safety for the Lady Bison, who slipped to 1-3 in the league and 2-3 overall.
Heather Picard walked and scored their run in the second inning, with Megan Vanderburgh registering the run batted in.
The Lady Dragons, 6-0 with five league wins, were led by Marissa Snyder with three singles and two RBIs, Kylie Gunnett with two hits and two RBIs, Taylor Garman with a single and double and Ashley Smith with a double and three RBIs.
Ritchey struck out two and walked six in four innings. Albright pitched the fifth with one strikeout.
Picard was in the circle for Clearfield and gave up nine earned runs while fanning three and issuing her first walk in three starts.
The Lady Bison, who have played five games in seven days, will go to Spring Mills Friday for an ML game against Penns Valley.
