Police Report: Sandy Township

A false alarm occurred Friday at the VA Clinic.
A domestic dispute occurred Friday on Admiral Dunbar Road in Treasure Lake. Upon arrival both parties were gone; a 20-year-old man was located walking down the roadway. He told police that he and his girlfriend had engaged in a verbal argument, and he’d left the scene.
A 23-year-old woman reported that she was at her mother’s Circle Road residence and her estranged boyfriend was outside keying her car. Upon arrival police located the 22-year-old DuBois man and he told police that the woman and her mother were keeping him from seeing his son. When the woman came exited the residence, he began yelling at her and police placed him in handcuffs. He was later transported from the scene and released to his mother. Later officers were called to a South Main Street residence, where the couple was involved in another argument after the woman was attempting to retrieve personal items from the home. Officers handled the situation without incident.
A vehicle driven by a 39-year-old Curwensville woman was rear-ended by another driven by a 22-year-old Reynoldsville man Friday on East DuBois Avenue near Wal-Mart. No injuries and moderate damage were reported.
On Friday, a 17-year-old DuBois girl reported that while she was turning from Wayne Road onto Main Street, a dark-colored older vehicle struck the rear of her vehicle. Its operator then fled the scene.
A 79-year-old resident of DuBois Village reported Friday that $150 was missing form her purse.
A 30-year-old Clearfield woman hit a dear while traveling Friday on Rockton Road, causing severe damage to her vehicle. No injuries were reported.
On Friday, police were called to the DuBois Mall parking lot for a disturbance between a 50-year-old Treasure Lake man and his 23-year-old daughter. The windshield of the woman’s car was broken during the disturbance. Officers handled the situation without incident. Both parties later reported receiving harassing messages, and they were advised not to have contact with each other.
On Saturday, a 50-year-old Treasure Lake man reported that several hundreds of dollars of change was missing from his home. He believed his 24-year-old son-in-law entered his home and took it. The investigation is continuing.
On Saturday, a vehicle driven by a 40-year-old DuBois man rear-ended a vehicle driven by a 28-year-old DuBois woman who stopped suddenly on South Brady Street due to a car turning. No injuries and severe damage were reported.
A 36-year-old Reynoldsville man reported on Saturday that while he was at the Treasure Lake Ski Lodge, a known person approached him and hit him in the face without warning. The accused admitted to the actions and charges were filed.
On Saturday, a Forest Avenue resident reported they were receiving harassing phone calls from an unknown phone number. He told the caller that she had the wrong number; however, she continued to call.
Several Treasure Lake residents reported on Sunday that they were having their houses egged overnight.
An employee of DuBois Village reported Sunday that her vehicle was parked while she was at work, and someone hit it, causing minor damage to the driver’s door.
On Sunday, police were notified that a woman was lying face down on the road in the area of 1000 South Brady Street. Upon arrival officers located the 69-year-old Clearfield woman who reported that she had engaged in an altercation with her boyfriend while at the Sandy Club and she decided to walk instead of ride with him. She became winded and fell down. She did not appear overly intoxicated and she was released by emergency personnel. The situation was handled without incident.
A 33-year-old Punxsutawney woman reported Sunday that someone took hydrocodone out of her vehicle while it was parked in the DuBois Plaza parking lot.
A 25-year-old South Brady Street woman reported Sunday that she was shoved and punched by her live-in boyfriend. Officers handled the situation without incident. The woman was cleared by emergency personnel and left the residence for the night.
On Sunday, a vehicle drifted from its parking space in the Wal-Mart parking lot and struck another parked vehicle, causing minor damage.
