A knife was allegedly used during a physical altercation that occurred Saturday at an apartment in the 300 block of South Brady Street. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
On Saturday, someone damaged a section of vinyl fencing when they drove through a yard in the 200 block of East Sheridan Avenue. The operator fled the scene without notifying the property owner of the damage.
A two-vehicle accident occurred Saturday at the intersection of South Main Street and West Long Avenue. No injuries were reported. The vehicles sustained minor to moderate damage.
A two-vehicle accident occurred Saturday in the 500 block of Maple Avenue. A 49-year-old Reynoldsville woman lost control of her vehicle on the snow-covered roadway and entered the oncoming traffic lane. A 52-year-old DuBois man swerved to miss her vehicle, but they collided. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
A motorist was stopped for swerving repeatedly Sunday on Maple Avenue. After speaking with the motorist, police determined that the 29-year-old DuBois man was under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody for suspected DUI. Drug paraphernalia was also located inside the vehicle. Charges are currently pending.
On Sunday, police were dispatched to the 300 block of Quarry Avenue for a man who was allegedly waving a gun alongside the roadway. Police weren’t able to locate anyone with a gun, and the incident remains under investigation.
An anonymous phone call was received Sunday about someone allegedly ransacking the post office. Upon arrival police found that someone had thrown junk mail and flyers from a garbage can onto the floor. The main section of the post office was found to be secured.
Someone entered an apartment Sunday in the 300 block of South Avenue and stole some files from an unlocked lock box. The incident is under investigation.
A 78-year-old DuBois woman backed into a vehicle Sunday in the first block of West Long Avenue. The vehicle sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported.
A two-vehicle accident occurred Monday at the intersection of Beaver Drive and Division Street. No injuries were reported. Neither vehicle needed towed from the scene.
A residential alarm accidentally sounded Tuesday in the 300 block of East Sheridan Avenue.
On Tuesday, police were notified about a group of men who were soliciting Pirates tickets in various sections of DuBois. Police located the men and determined they didn’t have a permit. The men complied with the order and applied for a permit.
A domestic incident occurred Wednesday in the 300 block of South Avenue between a 27-year-old DuBois man and his 23-year-old girlfriend. There weren’t any signs of physical injury. No one wanted to press charges.
