Bessie May Brink Travis, 81, of Coalport died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
She was born Aug. 16, 1931, at Philipsburg, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Anna May (Distin) Travis.
She was a homemaker.
She’s survived by two daughters, Frances May Holcombe of Madera and Esther Jane Travis of Coalport; and a granddaughter who she raised, Brittany Ann Travis of Coalport.
She’s survived by six grandchildren, James H. Mostoller, Adam L. Mostoller, Allen L. Mostoller, Glenn A. Clouser and Frank J. Clouser; numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She’s also survived by seven sisters and brothers, Marie Jane, Bernice, Ruth Ann, Illeana, Ronald, Carl and Benjamin.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Nathaniel Louis Brink on Nov. 1, 1984 and six brothers and two sisters.
She was a social member of the Blain City V.F.W.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Saturday at the Kruise Funeral Home Inc., Madera.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Ford officiating.
In lieu of fresh cut flower arrangements, the family would suggest live green plants be sent instead.
